Did you ever wonder how the Army procures its big, expensive weapons systems?

It's a story that needs to be told.  Well, maybe "needs" is a bit strong. How about, "ought" to be told, but only once?  Retired Lieutenant Colonel Finnegan gives you his hilarious version, which means once is quite enough.

Lieutenant Colonel Finnegan has served in the army for 24 years.  It's been a remarkably unspectacular career.  But now he has to transition out, and for once in his life he has to make a decision more important than choosing either regular or light beer.  With no readily marketable skills, at least the usual types, he has a series of misadventures and ends up in - the Army. That's Army with a big A.  And it's not a great fit

You'll also meet Mamzelle Reynard, the Barbecue Queen of the South and the owner of Tiger Corp, a new government contractor; COL Harvey, the Army's innovative and risk-taking Program Manager; Sad Sack Sanders, the former Army Acquisition Corps contract specialist; and a memorable collection of military veterans that save the day on a different type of battlefield.

One of the themes of Finnegan is that businesses gain so much by hiring vets - it's my one small voice among many advocating for that cause.  More tangibly, I'll donate half of my proceeds to Army Emergency Relief, a non- profit organization that helps soldiers and their families when they need it most.  Visit their site and see if you can also help.  ArmyEmergencyRelief.org

I am pleased to partner with Koehler Books who will publish Finnegan Begins Again at the beginning of 2024.  It is now available on-line from quality book sellers, and will soon be available in stores near you.

Ingram Books will distribute the book.  One of the largest distributors in the country, Ingram has access to 40,000 retailers and libraries and sell in-store and online.
