The Easy Part and the Hard Part

I wrote Finnegan Begins Again for the fun of it. Since I am otherwise retired, I didn't work on a fixed schedule and just wrote when I felt like it and when the literary juices were flowing. And I wrote it for people who wanted to read something just for fun. If it didn't work out, I would just enjoy the experience.

If writing books can be a fun experience, selling books is hard work. Contracts, schedules, deliverables, problems and issues - that's what I retired from! But at least I know that part.

The part that scares me is the social media, events, websites and assorted other stuff that authors have to do these days. I have never been a social media guy; if I was ever a suspect on a TV crime drama, the dialogue would go something like this:

"Chief, I can't seem to track this guy. He doesn't have any social media presence before 2023. "

"Put out a BOLO and pick him up. He's bound to be guilty of something."

So. if you are so inclined and have lots of followers on the various social media platforms out there, please spread the word. My 3 new followers and I thank you.
